Women’s Program

THERE WILL BE A SPECIAL WOMEN’S PROGRAM FRIDAY AND SATURDAY AFTERNOONS.

WHAT WILL BE THE HEART OF THE WOMEN’S PROGRAM?

The celebration and harvesting of the wisdom, experience and vitality of women as we age — being open to difference and without fear or judgment.
We will provide creative experiences through which we may uncover and remember the depths of our knowing;
We will explore more of what our Eldership means to ourselves and to the world;
We will receive and give the gifts of sharing and storytelling;
And we will create chances to connect through ritual and acknowledgements, music and song.

WHAT MIGHT WE ASK OF OURSELVES?
The overall theme of the WEG is ‘Harvest’.
We ask you to consider: What is the wisdom, the experience, the gift you want to harvest at this time of your life to show to other women – and the world?

WHERE WILL THE PROGRAM TAKE PLACE?
What if there were a place for you to gather with other women of spirit to share community, laughter, tears, wisdom, creativity, song? A place where we have choices – either to sit in our strength or our vulnerability, listening, speaking up or resting quietly?

We will create a Red Tent for our gathering — a place where we honor the rhythms and cycles of our lives. The Red Tent is a deeply sacred space where we honor all of what it means to be a woman. This is a space in which we welcome the power and intimacy of each woman’s contribution to our place of sharing and connection. We will use this space for creativity, sharing our stories, and being in ceremony and friendship together.

The Red Tent Room will be used exclusively for the Women’s Program. It will also be available to women during the program until 5:00 pm Saturday evening as a place to visit together or to sit quietly alone to experience the sacredness of a space just for women.

Experience of every kind of life is all that is required to enter the Red Tent. We look forward to welcoming you there
